5. CHOBE, BOTSWANA

Chobe National Park the second largest national park in Botswana and is best known for its large elephant population.  The park consists of four distinct eco systems: Serondela with its lush floodplains and dense woodlands; the Savuti Marsh featuring savannahs and rolling grasslands; the Linyanti Marsh contains woodlands, lagoons, and limitless floodplains; and lastly, the hot dry Hinterland lies in-between the two.

4. OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA

The Okavango Delta is the largest inland delta in the world and sustains many forms of life which are unexpected in the middle of a desert.  The annual floods bring life to this huge oasis in the sands of the Kalahari, which is an incredible haven for wildlife.  Safari activities by water are the primary specialty, using the mokoro (canoe) which is ‘poled’ along by a guide.  Motorboats travel on the main waterways and lagoons whilst traditional 4X4 game viewing vehicles are used on the main islands.

3. NGORONGORO, TANZANIA

The volcanic Ngorongoro Crater, located between the Serengeti and Lake Manyara, is the largest unbroken caldera in the world! It is one of the best places in Tanzania to view the rare black rhino, as well as lion, zebra, wildebeest, leopard, cheetah, hyena, elephants, warthog, impala, buffalo, hartebeest, eland and a variety of water birds around the lake on the crater floor.

2. MASAI MARA, KENYA

The Masai Mara National Reserve is a land of breath-taking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. Safaris here deliver many attractions as the reserve is home to a year-round concentration of game, including more than two million wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes that make up the famous “Great Migration”. The reserve is a photographer’s dream with plentiful viewing of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and cheetah along with the migratory wildebeest and zebra.
